Super Bomberman introduced the series to the Super NES platform. Its structure is divided into two primary components: a single-player adventure and a competitive multiplayer option.
The adventure involves progressing through a series of stages in Diamond City, where the player confronts antagonists Mr. Karat and Dr. Mukk. This mode requires overcoming enemies and navigating puzzles to advance.
Separately, the battle mode supports up to four participants in a last-player-standing contest. This can be played with human opponents using a Super MultiTap accessory or against computer-controlled players.
