"Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose!" is a game where the player controls Buster Bunny through a sequence of stages. The majority of these stages are platforming segments where Buster can utilize several offensive moves against foes, such as kicking, jumping, and a dashing slide attack. This dash maneuver also functions as a means to scale vertical surfaces.
Inter-level breaks feature a selection of five different bonus games, accessed by spinning a wheel to randomly select one. The core gameplay is primarily platform-based, but it includes a notable departure in its fourth stage, which is a simplified American football match.
