R.B.I. Baseball '93 Overview
R.B.I. Baseball '93 is a sports simulation for the Sega Genesis that expands upon its predecessors. The game features a comprehensive league of 28 teams, including the newly added Colorado and Florida franchises, with rosters containing close to 700 individual players. Each team competes in its own authentically modeled home ballpark.
Multiple gameplay options are available. Players can engage in standard matches against the computer or another person, with the ability to save progress in multi-game series via a password system. Beyond standard play, the game offers practice modes for hitting and fielding, as well as a home run contest. A notable feature is the Game Breaker mode, which allows users to start a simulated game in any inning with a custom score, and also includes historical division champions from 1984 onward for special matchups.
Team management is possible through an editing function, permitting the transfer of players between clubs to update rosters or create custom lineups. This provides a way to maintain the game's relevance or simply experiment with team compositions.
