Pelé! Overview
Pelé! is a soccer simulation for the Sega Genesis centered on the famous athlete Edson Arantes do Nascimento. Players can select from forty national teams and engage in several distinct modes of play.
The single-player experience is divided into two primary options. One mode serves as a training environment for learning fundamentals, while the other involves a full challenging season of eighteen matches culminating in a championship. Multiplayer is supported, though it operates through a tournament structure where participants must each complete individual matches before their teams can directly compete.
On-field action incorporates a set of realistic rules and a variety of animated moves such as headers, bicycle kicks, and dives. The computer-controlled opponents exhibit distinct behaviors, with the artificial intelligence varying from team to team.
