PGA Tour Golf III Overview
PGA Tour Golf III is a golf simulation for the Sega Genesis developed by Polygames. The game features eight real U.S. courses, including Sawgrass and Scottsdale, and utilizes a standard three-click swing mechanic for power and accuracy. Players can adjust club selection, aim, and apply spin to the ball before each shot.
Several gameplay modes are available beyond standard tournament play, such as skins matches, shoot-outs, and match play. Practice is supported through dedicated driving range, putting green, and full round options. The game saves custom player profiles, statistics, and tournaments via battery backup.
Exclusive to the Genesis version are pre-hole flyovers of each course accompanied by professional tips, and the perspective shifts to track the ball's flight after it is struck. The game also includes an instant replay feature for reviewing shots.
