PGA European Tour Overview
PGA European Tour is a golf simulation for the Sega Genesis that builds upon its predecessor with a distinct regional focus. It presents five courses located across Europe and includes a roster of sixty professional golfers from the same continent.
The visual presentation shows a clear advancement, with graphics that are more detailed and make greater use of color compared to the earlier title. The core shot mechanic remains the familiar three-click system common to the genre, but it is augmented by a pre-shot planning feature. This allows players to set a desired draw or fade, where a perfectly timed swing executes the intended shot shape, while a mistimed swing will produce a more pronounced and likely errant curve.
Beyond the standard Stroke Play format, where total strokes are tallied over eighteen holes, the game offers additional competitive modes. These include Match Play, which focuses on winning individual holes, and a Skins game variant that incorporates a monetary wager on each hole.
