Elite Soccer is a football simulation for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It offers both a full World Cup tournament and a quicker knockout competition, with twenty four national sides available for selection. Matches are viewed from an overhead perspective, shifting to a closer third person angle during penalty situations.
Extensive customization is a central feature. Players can modify the rules, adjust weather, and select indoor or outdoor venues. Team management includes editing individual player statistics and appearances, while goalkeeper ability can also be tuned. A two player mode is included for direct competition.
