Mario is Missing! is an educational DOS game that uses a world-spanning adventure to teach geography. Players control Luigi, who must rescue his brother from Bowser while stopping Koopas in various cities.
The antagonist has established a base in Antarctica and opened portals to numerous global locations. Luigi's task involves entering these portals, recovering stolen artifacts, and identifying his current city through clues. Successfully returning items allows him to photograph landmarks, reinforcing the educational aspect.
Gameplay requires calling Yoshi to assist with obstacles guarding the return portals. An optional add-on disk expands the experience by including additional cities to explore.
