Super R.B.I. Baseball Overview
Super R.B.I. Baseball brought the established series to the Super Nintendo for the first time. While it includes the 1994 roster with 700 MLBPA players and all 28 teams, it lacks an official MLB license, resulting in altered team colors and the omission of official nicknames.
Its visual presentation uses a cartoonish style, and the stadiums, though based on authentic designs, are modified to avoid direct replication. The game offers multiple ways to play, including a succession-based league mode, playoff brackets, and specific scenario challenges. Players can also select historical division champion or All-Star lineups from several preceding years.
Notably, the game does not use a battery backup for saving progress; instead, series championships are recorded using a password system. Play-by-play commentary is provided by the voice of broadcaster Jack Buck.
