Othello for the NES is a digital adaptation of the board game. The objective is to finish with more discs of your color on the board than your opponent.
Gameplay involves placing a disc to flank an opponent's line of discs, which converts them to your color. This continues until the board is completely occupied or a time limit expires. The title supports both two-player competition and solo play against a computer opponent.
