Genghis Khan Overview
Genghis Khan is a grand strategy title for the NES where players pursue dominance through territorial control. The setting is based on the historical figure, offering two distinct campaign paths. One follows Temujin's early efforts to unify Mongolian tribes, while another expands the scope to global conquest with a choice of four leaders.
Province management forms a central activity, with various improvements to oversee. Conflict can be resolved through direct military campaigns, requiring army assembly and command, or through diplomatic maneuvers like arranged marriages. Battles occur on hex-based maps where players issue orders to unit groups with the goal of eliminating opposing forces.
The ultimate aim across both campaigns is to achieve supreme rule, either by uniting all tribes or all countries. This involves a challenging blend of strategic planning across martial and political spheres.
