Street Fighter II Overview
Street Fighter II is a fighting game where players choose one of eight initial combatants, each representing a different country and possessing individual motivations. The objective involves defeating the other seven selectable fighters before facing a final set of four boss opponents.
Combat is built around a character's unique set of basic attacks, which include three punch and three kick variations. The effectiveness of these moves changes depending on whether the fighter is standing, ducking, or in the air. Beyond these fundamentals, the game employs a challenging system of button combinations to execute more powerful, character-specific techniques, such as projecting energy or grappling an opponent.
