Sunset Riders is set in a Wild West dominated by a criminal figure named Sir Richard Rose. His control extends over key economic areas such as mines, ranches, and trade, granting him the power to effectively own the entire region.
Four individuals named Steve, Bob, Billy, and Cormano form a pact to oppose him. They arrive as the situation for the populace becomes desperate, with the goal of ending Rose's rule to establish freedom and peace.
These characters, known as the Sunset Riders, engage in a series of intense confrontations. The game depicts their mission as culminating in the most significant armed conflict the setting has witnessed.
