ESWAT: City under Siege Overview
ESWAT: City under Siege is a Genesis title where players assume the role of a police officer combating crime in an urban environment. The setting is a futuristic megalopolis, not a typical contemporary city.
Initial stages involve confronting criminals with standard-issue weaponry, requiring fast reactions. After two levels, the officer is promoted to the Enhanced Special Weapons and Tactics division, gaining access to a cyber suit. This armour provides greater protection and enhanced firepower for dealing with more challenging foes.
This version differs from its arcade counterpart. The level design incorporates platforming elements and is not strictly linear. Enemy types in the early parts of the game include soldiers and robots, rather than the bank robbers or hit-men found in other releases.
