Pac-in-Time Overview
Pac-in-Time is a Game Boy title that reuses the design of an earlier game called Fury of the Furries, substituting its original protagonist with Pac-Man. The core adventure unfolds across a large island divided into eight distinct environmental regions, culminating in a final area known as The Machine.
Gameplay involves navigating through individual screens, each containing multiple exits that affect progression. The objective shifts from Pac-Man's traditional eating mechanic to collecting points. During the quest, the character can assume different forms, such as a swimmer or a creature that spits fireballs, to overcome obstacles.
This version is separate from a Super Nintendo Entertainment System release sharing the same name. The source material was a puzzle-platformer where a round creature sought to rescue a king, a narrative framework repurposed here with the licensed character.
