The Brainies Overview
"The Brainies" is a puzzle game where the player must direct colored characters to their matching colored destinations across 101 levels. Control is managed through a cross-hair cursor; selecting a character sets its walking direction, after which it moves autonomously until it collides with a wall, an obstacle, or another character.
The primary challenging aspect stems from this indirect control scheme, as characters cannot be stopped once set in motion. The environment introduces further complexity with obstacles like directional arrows that alter a character's path, along with optional items that can be collected.
Failure to complete a level within a time limit results in the loss of a life. Success requires planning the order and timing of movements for multiple characters of four distinct colors.
