Star Wars: TIE Fighter Overview
Star Wars: TIE Fighter is a space combat simulation that serves as a sequel to X-Wing. The player assumes the role of a pilot in the Imperial Navy, undertaking missions against the Rebel Alliance and other adversaries to support the Empire's leadership.
Gameplay involves piloting several Imperial spacecraft, ranging from basic TIE Fighters to more advanced models like the Interceptor. A key system requires the pilot to dynamically manage power distribution between engines, lasers, and shields during flight. The experience is structured around seven campaigns comprising more than fifty missions, with a narrative conveyed through cutscenes.
During missions, the player often has AI wingmen at their disposal. These allies can receive and execute specific tactical orders, providing support in combat situations.
