Grand Prix 2 Overview
Grand Prix II is a racing simulation by Geoff Crammond that recreates the 1994 Formula 1 season. The primary perspective is from the cockpit, with external views reserved mainly for replays. Visual details are rendered with texture mapping, and rear view mirrors display a comprehensive scene.
Vehicle performance requires adjustment across multiple systems. Configurations range from basic brake balance to more technical aspects like spring settings and ride height. The game offers variable session lengths and a tiered approach to difficulty, with lower skill levels providing driving aids like automatic braking and a suggested racing line. This makes progression from easy to challenging possible.
Multiplayer is supported through two methods. Players can compete on a single machine by taking turns, with the computer simulating the race for uncontrolled cars. Alternatively, a linked setup allows for simultaneous play.
