Rampage is a DOS game where up to three players control mutated humans who attack urban structures. The characters George, Lizzy, and Ralph have been transformed into a gorilla, a lizard, and a werewolf due to a failed experiment.
Gameplay focuses on demolishing buildings by repeatedly striking their edges until they collapse. While doing this, players must contend with police and military forces that fire upon them; these threats can be destroyed or avoided. To maintain their monstrous size and prevent reverting to human form, characters must consume available items such as plants.
