Prehistorik Overview
Prehistorik is a side scrolling platform game set in a prehistoric environment. The player controls a neanderthal character whose primary objective is to gather food while navigating hazards.
Food sources are primarily living creatures, which must be defeated with a club before they can be collected. Enemies like the Pyro Tax dragon and Turtosaurus can require multiple strikes to subdue. Other threats, such as coconut throwing monkeys, cannot be destroyed and must be avoided entirely. The overall challenge is fair, balancing combat with evasion.
Progression is governed by a time limit for each level. Scattered power ups provide advantages, including bombs, better weapons, extended jumping ability, additional lives, and time bonuses.
