Jump ‘n Bump Overview
Jump 'n Bump is a multiplayer game for DOS where players control rabbits competing to jump on each other's heads. The objective is to score points by landing on opponents, which results in a graphic flattening of the defeated bunny.
Up to four players can participate locally, sharing keyboards, or over a network. The core dynamic involves constant role reversal, as players rapidly switch between pursuing others and being pursued. The game is challenging due to this fast-paced, unpredictable nature.
Matches take place on two-dimensional platform stages. The default setting features pastoral backdrops, but many user-created levels are available. Environmental elements like ice, water, and springboards add strategic variety, as players use these features to gain positional advantages.
Defeated players immediately respawn, allowing the action to continue uninterrupted. A running score tracks the total number of successful head jumps throughout a session.
