Carnage is a top-down racing game where all vehicles move at an identical speed. The game's progression is challenging, as failure to win a race results in a game over, locking the player out of the subsequent tracks.
Victory in a race awards 800 pounds, which can be spent in a shop between events. This currency is used to purchase items such as nitros and mines, as well as various upgrades for the player's car.
There are eighteen tracks in total, each one becoming accessible only after the previous race is won.
