Motor Mash Overview
Motor Mash is a top-down racing game supporting up to four participants, who can compete using a multi-tap or by passing a single controller. The objective in a race is to force opponents off the screen by outdistancing them or by shoving them into environmental dangers. When only one racer remains, that contestant is declared the winner for that segment, and the eliminated players rejoin the competition from that juncture.
Participants select from a roster of twelve characters and compete across various themed environments. These settings include jungle, arctic, wild west, inner city, aztec temple, and nightmare locales, each featuring unique obstacles such as trains, oil wells, cyclones, snowmen, bridges, and aggressive flora.
Several modes are available, encompassing single-player practice, Knockout Races, tournaments for one or multiple players, a Beat the Clock challenge, and Team Knockout. A credit system determines progression; players earn credits based on their survival time in each round, and losing all credits results in elimination. The ultimate victor is the last competitor remaining, making the overall experience challenging.
