Total Carnage Overview
Total Carnage is set in a post-war Kookistan, now under the control of General Akhboob. This dictator commands an army of radioactive mutants from a fortified position and holds numerous hostages, with ambitions of global conquest.
Players assume the roles of either Captain Carnage or Major Mayhem, collectively the Doomsday Squad, who undertake a mission to rescue these hostages. The opposition consists of hundreds of mutants intent on stopping them. The action unfolds across twenty distinct battlezones, requiring constant movement in all directions, including diagonally.
A primary machine gun is always available, but various other weapons can be acquired during play. These include grenade launchers, rocket launchers, flame throwers, plasma machine guns, spray-fire rifles, bombs, and defensive blades. The game supports a single player or simultaneous two-player cooperative action.
