Aces of the Pacific Overview
Aces of the Pacific is a World War II flight simulation set in the Pacific theater. The simulation provides a wide selection of aircraft, including land-based and carrier-based models for both the United States and Japan. Players can assume the role of a pilot for several American services or for Japanese forces.
Gameplay is structured around both individual missions and longer campaigns. Missions encompass various objectives such as dogfights, bomber escort, and attacks on ground and naval targets. A career mode allows participation in specific major battles or the broader conflict across the war's timeline.
The simulation includes numerous configurable realism settings. These options cover elements like pilot blackouts, collision toggles, weather conditions, and visibility effects such as sun glare. The aircraft roster features many historically accurate models from both sides of the conflict.
