Xardion Overview
Xardion is a game where the player controls one of three distinct alien warriors, switching between them at will during play. These characters are a robot called Triton, a feline quadruped named Panthera, and a large red insectoid biped known as Alcedes.
The narrative context involves three planets, each inhabited by a different alien race, which are engaged in conflict. This internal war is set aside when a more powerful external alien force threatens them all, prompting a joint defense. Each planet contributes one of the warriors to confront this shared menace.
Gameplay involves utilizing each character's unique physical traits and abilities to progress. For instance, Panthera's smaller size grants access to areas the others cannot reach. The player collects various specialized power-ups and weapons throughout the mission. The game presents a challenging element: if the currently controlled character loses all health, the player must restart the level from the beginning, though that particular character's health is fully restored.
