Cybernator Overview
Cybernator is a side scrolling action game where the player operates a piloted combat mech known as an Assault Suit. The setting is a future global conflict over dwindling resources, where the protagonist Jake is a Federation marine pilot.
Gameplay involves navigating battlefields horizontally, with the ability to jump and use a limited jetpack. Combat utilizes a starting machine gun and punch attack, with additional weapons and upgrades collected from fallen enemies. Progression requires defeating all enemies and a boss in each stage.
Some stages shift to a constantly advancing perspective, allowing movement in all four directions. A later PlayStation 2 release features modified graphics, adjusted gameplay balance, and includes a new introductory stage.
