"Spider-Man / X-Men: Arcade's Revenge" is a side-scrolling action game where players control superheroes escaping a lethal amusement park. The antagonist Arcade has constructed this facility specifically to capture and eliminate them.
Initially, Spider-Man witnesses the abduction of the X-Men and pursues them into the complex. Inside, the player gains access to five characters: Spider-Man, Cyclops, Storm, Gambit, and Wolverine. Each hero is isolated in a separate zone filled with traps, requiring the use of their unique powers to progress.
The objective involves guiding all five characters to safety. This entails overcoming various enemies and boss encounters throughout the hazardous environment.
