Tom & Jerry Overview
"Tom & Jerry" is a DOS game where players control Jerry the mouse on a rescue mission through a house. The objective is to ascend from the basement to the attic to save Jerry's nephew Tuffy, who has been captured by Tom and locked away.
Jerry employs marbles as a primary, unlimited means of defense. The gameplay involves navigating various levels, requiring actions like dashing, jumping, and climbing. To progress, players collect items such as a meat cleaver, hammer, drill, bubble gum, cups of water, moth balls, and invisible ink, which are used to handle enemies and environmental obstacles.
Encounters with Tom the cat must be strategically outwitted. Additional elements include cheese power-ups and special mouse hole bonus stages found during the ascent.
