Rastan is a side scrolling action game where the player battles through six distinct stages. Each concludes with a confrontation against a major enemy.
The journey involves overcoming a variety of adversaries, including mythological creatures and undead beings. To aid in this, a selection of offensive tools is available, such as axes and magical swords, which differ in their reach and strength. Defensive gear like armor can also be found to mitigate incoming harm.
Additional collectibles modify combat parameters; for instance, rings can make attacks faster. The objective is to progress through these hostile environments to liberate the realm of Lograth.
