Power Blade Overview
Power Blade is a platform game released in the United States as a modified version of Power Blazer. The player controls Secret Agent Nova, who is tasked with restoring order after a governing computer malfunctions in the year 2191.
Progress requires navigating through six distinct sectors, each containing a hidden agent. Finding an agent yields an ID card, which is necessary to enter that sector's security room. Defeating the guards in these rooms grants secret tape units. Collecting all six tapes allows entry to the final control center.
Gameplay involves moving through levels, defeating enemies, and exiting through a door. Defeated foes can drop power-ups that restore health or enhance your primary weapon. A rare power-up temporarily transforms Nova into a Mech with a unique attack and additional durability. Each sector must be completed within a time limit, though players may leave and return to sectors later if they have not yet secured the ID card.
