Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a Konami arcade title adapted from the animated series. Its core objective involves the four turtles rescuing their friend April O'Neil after her capture by Shredder and his henchmen.
The gameplay is a side scrolling beat 'em up, comparable to a streamlined Double Dragon. Players control Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, or Raphael, confronting numerous Foot Soldiers who are generally easy to defeat, though some wield more hazardous weapons like knives. The journey to the final confrontation with Shredder includes battles against several notable adversaries, such as Baxter Stockman, Krang, and General Traag.
