IronSword: Wizards & Warriors II Overview
IronSword: Wizards & Warriors II is a side-scrolling action platformer where the warrior Kuros returns to confront the wizard Malkil. Having survived his previous defeat, Malkil now exists as four elemental forms spread across the land of Sindarin.
Progress requires Kuros to explore four distinct domains, each overseen by an animal king. His primary objective in each area is to locate a golden artifact and deliver it to that king, which then grants access to an elemental boss. These guardians must be defeated using magic spells, as conventional sword attacks are ineffective.
Gameplay involves navigating stages by jumping and crouching while combating enemies with a sword. Kuros can find or purchase various spells, which serve functions like transforming foes into useful items, granting temporary invincibility, or creating platforms. His equipment, including weapons and armor, can be upgraded at shops. Health is managed by consuming food found in stages or purchased at inns, while some spells consume a magic point resource or are single-use items.
