Rush’n Attack Overview
Rush’n Attack is an arcade game from the mid-1980s, a period when Cold War tensions influenced its theme. The player controls a soldier equipped primarily with a knife, undertaking a mission against numerous adversaries. The title itself allows for multiple interpretations, referencing either a tactical approach, the nationality of the foes, or the protagonist's distinctive headwear.
Gameplay unfolds across four specific environments: a Missile Base, a Harbour, a Bridge, and a Prison Camp. The level design incorporates three separate horizontal planes, connected by ladders and accessible via jumping, which provides strategic options to evade large groups of enemies. While the core weapon is a knife, other arms with limited ammunition can be found during the mission, offering temporary advantages in what is otherwise a challenging scenario against hordes of fighters.
