Spider-Man / X-Men: Arcade's Revenge is a side-scrolling action title where players control superheroes escaping a custom-built amusement park. This facility was designed by the villain Arcade to capture and eliminate them.
Initially, Spider-Man witnesses the abduction of the X-Men and pursues them into the complex. The player then gains access to five characters: Spider-Man, Cyclops, Storm, Gambit, and Wolverine. Each is isolated in a separate zone filled with traps, requiring the use of their unique powers to progress.
The objective involves guiding all five heroes to safety. This entails overcoming enemies and confronting bosses throughout the hazardous environment.
