Midnight Resistance Overview
Midnight Resistance is a side scrolling shoot 'em up where the player operates as a member of the Resistance. The antagonist, a scientist named King Crimson, has abducted the player's grandfather and five other family members to further his plans.
The game spans nine distinct platform levels, each concluding with a challenging Boss encounter. Opposition comes from foot soldiers, vehicles, and stationary machine gun emplacements positioned throughout the stages.
A notable feature is the control scheme, which allows for aiming in various directions and crawling beneath low obstacles. Defeated foes drop keys that serve as currency at shop points, where weapons like machine guns and flamethrowers can be acquired. These weapons require purchased ammunition to function and are lost if the player runs out.
