Air Buster Overview
Air Buster is a side-scrolling shooter where players pilot a craft through enemy-filled stages. The experience is challenging, as any single hit results in destruction, though players can continue from their current point if they have remaining lives.
Gameplay involves collecting power-ups, often released in groups from specific pods, which upgrade the ship's weapons, provide defensive shields, or add wing-mounted companions. A charged attack can be deployed to clear the screen of enemy projectiles while damaging foes. The pacing varies, with certain segments accelerating into rapid obstacle courses that scroll in different directions.
Each stage concludes with a confrontation against a boss. This title also supports a cooperative mode for two players.
