"Deadly Moves" is a fighting game where the player controls Joe, a fighter traveling worldwide to learn from various martial arts teachers. His journey involves repeated combat against other fighters, requiring increasing skill to ultimately prove himself the greatest.
The single-player experience is focused solely on Joe's progression, while two-player matches allow selection from seven different fighters and various backdrops. Combat operates as a standard 2D fighter with punches, kicks, and jumps, but incorporates limited vertical movement on the plane, making the fights not entirely two-dimensional.
