Dr. Mario Overview
Dr. Mario is a puzzle game where the player controls the dropping of colored pills into a container. The objective is to eliminate all viruses within this space by creating color matches.
Pills consist of two segments, each being red, blue, or yellow. They must be aligned to connect with viruses of a matching color. Removal occurs when a group of at least four connected pieces, which can include both pills and viruses of the same color, is formed. The game ends if the pills stack to the top of the play area, which makes progression challenging as the container fills.
Alongside a primary mode focused on clearing successive levels, the game offers a time trial and a competitive two-player option. In the battle mode, players compete to eliminate more viruses.
