Tetris & Dr. Mario Overview
"Tetris & Dr. Mario" is a Super Nintendo compilation containing two distinct puzzle games. Both titles retain their fundamental mechanics from earlier releases but receive minor visual enhancements for this platform.
In one game, players arrange falling geometric pieces to form complete horizontal rows. The other involves eliminating colored viruses inside a bottle by matching them with similarly colored capsules thrown by Dr. Mario. Each game includes a computer opponent mode, offering three tiers of challenging AI difficulty.
A notable addition is the Mixed Match mode, designed for two players. This functions as a sequential tournament, alternating between specific variants of both puzzle games. Settings such as handicaps and time limits can be adjusted to accommodate differing skill levels, aiming for a fair competition. The final victory is determined by the highest cumulative score.
