Trog Overview
Trog! is set in the prehistoric land of Og, where one-eyed cavemen known as Trogs pursue eggs. The objective for players, controlling characters called Dino-Mites, is to collect all eggs matching their color before opponents do. This creates a challenging competitive environment.
Players face direct threats from the Trogs, who will hunt the Dino-Mites using primitive tools. To counter this, the dinosaurs can consume power-ups; a pineapple transforms a player into a T-Rex capable of eating Trogs, while a hot tamale grants fire-breathing ability. These mechanics allow for both evasion and direct confrontation.
The game supports multiplayer action, with the original accommodating up to four participants, though some versions limit this number. The core loop involves simultaneous egg gathering while managing the persistent hazard posed by the egg-loving cavemen.
