Little Big Adventure Overview
Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure is an adventure game that incorporates significant action mechanics. Its narrative centers on the planet Twinsun, where a Quetch scientist named Dr. Funfrock has seized control using a cloned army, outlawing the worship of a prophesied goddess. The protagonist, Twinsen, is imprisoned after dreaming of this forbidden figure, setting him on a path to challenge the dictatorship.
The gameplay involves interacting with characters and managing inventory, but it is distinguished by a system of four behavior modes. These modes, which include options for combat, stealth, athletic movement, and normal interaction, offer varied solutions to obstacles. The visual presentation combines isometric environments with characters rendered in three dimensions.
Technical features differed between releases. The CD edition included full motion video sequences, voiced dialogue, and a soundtrack, elements which were not present in the floppy disk version.
