Wing Commander: The Secret Missions Overview
Wing Commander: The Secret Missions is an add-on campaign for the original game, introducing a linear series of sixteen new missions. The narrative follows the TCS Tiger's Claw as it investigates a destroyed Terran colony and must then pursue the Kilrathi fleet deep into hostile territory to eliminate a newly revealed secret weapon.
This expansion integrates with the base game by allowing players to transfer their existing characters. It also provides a Mission Selector feature for accessing the original game's missions. Several new spacecraft are introduced for both sides, including freighters, a Confederation corvette, and the Kilrathi dreadnought that carries the titular weapon.
The operational parameters for the player are challenging, as the campaign unfolds without the possibility of resupply or reinforcements. The mission structure is strictly linear, offering no branching paths unlike the main Wing Commander game.
