The Lost Vikings Overview
The Lost Vikings is a side scrolling platform game built around cooperative puzzle solving. Its core mechanic involves managing three distinct characters simultaneously, each possessing specialized abilities that must be combined to progress.
These characters are Vikings named Eric, Olaf, and Baleog, who have been abducted by an alien ruler named Tomator. Their objective is to escape his collection by navigating through levels populated by various hostile creatures and environmental hazards.
Gameplay requires switching control between the Vikings to utilize their unique skills. Eric can jump and break certain walls, Olaf employs a versatile shield for defense and platforming, and Baleog attacks with a sword and arrows. Success depends on strategic teamwork, as the puzzles grow more challenging.
Each Viking has a health limit and a small inventory for items. If any character loses all health or encounters an instant death trap, the current level must be restarted, emphasizing careful planning and coordination.
