Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 3 Overview
Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 3 is a fighting game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System that concludes its series. Its narrative content is drawn from the Majin Buu story arc of the Dragon Ball Z anime.
The roster consists of nine primary combatants, including Goku and Majin Buu, with an additional secret fighter. Matches can be played against the computer or another human player, and a tournament mode for up to eight participants is included. Notably, this entry does not feature a dedicated story mode, a departure from earlier games in the series.
Gameplay mechanics retain the split-screen perspective but introduce vertical movement, allowing fighters to ascend or descend on the same screen. New techniques such as Meteor Combos and a close-quarters struggle test are available. Battle stages are themed around the Buu saga and offer visual variants, such as different times of day.
