Chavez II Overview
Chavez II is a boxing game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It continues the series by offering a selection of nine fictional pugilists, among them the titular Julio Cesar Chavez. The primary modes consist of an Exhibition for casual matches and a Career path where the objective is to ascend the rankings and ultimately challenge Chavez for the championship.
Gameplay is viewed from a perspective behind the player's boxer. A range of punches is available, from standard jabs to more powerful "Super Punches" that inflict greater damage at the cost of the fighter's stamina. Players also have the option to create a custom boxer. The entire presentation, including in-game commentary, is delivered exclusively in Spanish.
