Cannondale Cup Overview
Cannondale Cup is a bicycle racing title for the Super Nintendo where players select from eight racers and a variety of mountain bikes. Each bike has distinct statistical ratings across several performance categories.
The competition is structured across eight courses, which are divided into stages. Advancement to the next stage depends on meeting specific criteria, such as finishing a required number of laps or achieving a target score. The final race presents a challenging requirement of winning a thirty-lap event.
During races, gameplay includes aggressive interactions like punching opponents and performing jumps over ramps. A player's final ranking at the end of a race directly determines their awarded score.
This game was later included in the compilation cartridge Exertainment Mountain Bike Rally / Speed Racer, serving as its mountain biking component. This re-release featured identical gameplay with minimal visual alterations.
