Syd of Valis Overview
Syd of Valis is an action platformer where the player controls a teenage schoolgirl named Yuko, known as Syd in some regions. Her quest involves journeying to the dreamworld of Vekanti to confront a malevolent force, utilizing a magical sword called the sword of Valis.
The side scrolling gameplay involves navigating environments by running and jumping past obstacles while engaging enemies with melee attacks. This version presents a simplified experience compared to its source material, Valis II, featuring a more accessible visual style with a Super Deformed aesthetic.
Throughout the adventure, various collectible power ups can be found, including different weapons and types of armor. These items can be equipped at any point, allowing for on the fly adjustments to the character's capabilities.
