Gargoyles Overview
Gargoyles is a side scrolling platform game for the Sega Genesis, adapted from the Disney animated television series. The player assumes the role of Goliath, the leader of the gargoyles, who awakens at night to embark on a quest across 18 levels. His mission is to prevent a global catastrophe by destroying a powerful ancient artifact called the Eye of Odin.
The journey spans a millennium, during which Goliath confronts various adversaries. These include vikings and robotic enemies such as Raptorbots, Spiderbots, and Waspbots. His abilities allow him to climb large gothic structures for tactical advantage, perform aerial and ground based claw attacks, and use a somersault move to break through certain walls.
