Follow The Reader Overview
Follow the Reader is an educational DOS title from a Disney-themed series for children. Its primary function is to provide reading practice by having a narrator voice the text of an interactive story.
The player controls Mickey Mouse for a single day, making choices that dictate his activities. These largely occur within his home and include domestic routines like cooking, personal hygiene, and caring for his dog Pluto. Social interactions extend beyond the house, with possibilities to visit locations like a park or beach with a friend. The experience concludes when Mickey goes to sleep. A notable feature allows players to save their session and later watch the automated playback of the story they created.
